Welcome

Sue GallagherHow does one communicate the value of a health issue?

Our institute will allow you to develop practical skills to analyze health problems and devise strategic solutions to change behavior and implement policies and programs that contribute to a healthy society. Whether it is risk communication during public health crises or innovative use of technology as exemplified by our summer institute on July 15-20, 2012, our courses  keep pace with cutting edge health communication strategies. Even technology requires packaging and framing in a manner that resonates with the target audience in order to effectively convey health messages.

We give you the theories and tools to promote health by effectively communicating and disseminating scientific research to diverse audiences.

The Health Communication Program at Tufts University School of Medicine is the first program of its kind in the country. For 16 years we have continued to provide skills-based courses to help you develop and deliver effective health communication.
